A project called OpenArena addresses this issue, creating open content and bundling it with the engine as a standalone Quake 3 release. I choose to do so to increase the immersion and bring back the feeling of Quake III Arena. I created this guide using screenshots of Quake III Arena while you will play in Quake Live.
